Short Mat Bowls

New members welcomed, practise on a Monday evenings, just come along and try!!

Reynalton Short Mat Bowls Club play in the South Pembrokeshire Short Mat
Bowls Association Friendly League. Reynalton SMBC is a founder member of the
league formed in 1990.

League matches are played, home and away, weekly from September to March
together with practise sessions. Friendly matches, practise sessions and socials
are enjoyed during the summer months.

Short Mat Bowls is an inclusive, gentle and social sport played by all ages and
abilities. Played on a specific mat around 40 feet long and 6 feet wide, aiming
bowls to get close to a small jack while negotiating around a small central wooden
block, short mat bowls is a game of skill and strategy with occasional “drives”
scattering bowls and jack.

So if you have or haven’t played before and are interested in finding out more, just
pop along to the village hall on a Monday evening at 7pm. We look forward to
meeting you (the tea and biscuits are pretty good too!).
